ashley visits california!

my best friend ashley came to visit us last week. it was so good to see her and it's been over 1 year since i have seen my curly haired sister. ashley flew into oakland so we headed up to sonoma to do some wine tasting and then to drive through san francisco to see the golden gate bridge.
here is ashley with the cork cow-pretty much the coolest thing ever made out of wine corks.tasting at gund-bundgolden gate bridge...yes it is cold
sporting the osu sweatshirt-useful when surprising someone in the airport.
my favorite summer flower from out here...i have yet to look up what it is-but they are everywhere.
on monday we headed down to monterey to see the aquarium, cannery row, 17 mile drive, and pebble beach. we also made a stop at peet's so that ashley could get a taste of some amazing coffee.
here is our underwater picture.
watch out for high tidein the kid's area of the aquarium...believe me we had tons of fun.
ashley touching the octopus...don't worry there was glass in between
next we headed to 17 mile drive...it was a beautiful day for a drive along the coast.
crazy people always feed the squirrels...they are way too tame...it makes me a bit upset.
the lone cypress
mrs. kim (from gilmore girls) was at the lone cypress!
on tuesday we took the day off from being tourists and hit up some of the local shopping spots as well as our favorite store-target. we have been known to spend 2-3 hours there...and we did it again! we also got pedicures (the lady thought we were sisters :)) and went to chevy's for my birthday dinner.

on wednesday jeremy took a vacation day and we headed back up to san fran (or as some like to call it...cisco... :P)
here is a cable car we almost jumped on :)

view of alcatraz island

on thursday we walked around willow glen and chilled out by the pool before heading to downtown campbell to meet some friends for the thursday night concerts and a picnic dinner.

on friday we went to stacks for breakfast where once again we were asked if we were sisters :) and then we headed up to the airport to drop ashley off. we had a fantastic time together!

sounds like a great trip, i can definitely see how someone would think you two were sisters. plus, you guys are super fun and people probably wanted to just talk to you to get in on the action
